ABOUT US

At Powell Picano we specialise in bespoke kitchens and cabinetry.
Since 2013 we have been producing the highest quality hand-crafted furniture from our workshop and studio in North London.
We work closely with clients including architects, designers and home-makers to realise projects in both domestic and commercial environments.
Founders John Hannah and Ben Fry each have over 15 years industry experience, and are fluent in the visual and technical language of design. This wealth of knowledge allows us to successfully guide you through your project making the best decisions along the way.
The name Powell Picano is a homage to John and Ben's maternal grandfathers: John Powell - a wood-turner, and Laurie Picano - a carpenter.

PRICING

Powell Picano are proud to produce work designed and hand made exclusively in North London where we were born and raised. Each and every Powell Picano project is completely bespoke, and tailored to fit it's intended space perfectly whilst meeting our clients' budget. We don't have a glamorous central London showroom, produce glossy brochures or spend thousands on advertising. This means that all of your budget is spent on your furniture. Only the best quality fittings, hardware and LED lighting are used as standard throughout our work.

The bespoke nature of our design and manufacturing process means that each quotation is unique with kitchens starting at £25,000 (ex-VAT) and wardrobes at £10,000 (ex-VAT).

THE WORKSHOP

Our North London based workshop is equipped with the finest quality modern woodworking machinery allowing us to work efficiently and to the highest degree of accuracy. Each member of our cabinetmaking team have a dedicated workbench and their own hand tools.

Every project is pre-assembled on our workshop floor and fitted with all relevant appliances and hardware before delivery to you. This minimises the time we spend in your home or place of work, and reduces the chance of unwanted surprises. Upstairs is our drawing office where we use CAD software to visualise each project before construction, allowing our clients to be fully involved in the design process.

It is important to us that we minimise our environmental impact and so where possible use timber and sheet material from sustainable sources. We also have a wealth of experience in using modern solid surface materials, technical panels and laminates and a range of finishes are available from eco friendly hand applied oils and paints to sprayed paints, stains and lacquers. When custom made metal, upholstered or cnc cut parts are required, we are pleased to work in collaboration with a range of fantastic trusted local fabricators to produce them.

We are based 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Hale station which is served by Mainline, bus and Victoria line. Parking available.
